MEET THE FOUNDER

Hello, I'm Dr. Odalis Vázquez, a Chiropractic Physician and your personal finance bestie. I am also currently working towards obtaining my Strength and Conditioning Coaching certification. Let me give you some context. I started learning about personal finances while I was still in Chiropractic school. However, it wasn't until after graduation that I realized the extent of my debt. Oh boy! I had accumulated almost $250k in student loans and car debt, to be exact. It was clear I needed an army of Benjamin Franklins to pay it off. So, I began reading, and in one of the books I came across a quote that said, “to make money, you have to understand how money works". This quote inspired me to dive into topics such as budgeting, credit score, passive income and investing. No one was going to rescue me, so I made it my mission to overcome all my money fears.

One year into practice, I realized that my dream job, at some point, would hit an income ceiling. And it wouldn't allow me to not only afford my large debt, but also the Miami lifestyle, trips, and projects I envisioned as a student. Well, maybe at some point I'd be debt-free, true, but that is not the same as having the financial freedom I really seek. If there is something that you should know about me, it is that I'm an adventurous, free-spirited woman. I love working hard, but I love traveling even harder. I took a pause to figure out how to achieve the best of both worlds, and it has been my biggest project since. My mindset has changed, my ambitions have skyrocketed, and my fear of failure has been completely eclipsed by my desire to succeed.

I truly don't think that any of us are meant to have only one career or one job for 40 years. I believe we are all meant to explore new interests, evolve, and even create our own careers if we don't find one that fully serves our purpose. Mine is serving others. In any way that I can. Soon into practice, I knew I could offer so much more outside of my field that I wouldn't be honoring my gift if I didn't share it with the world.
